Swarm had been counting total check-ins for the past few weeks. So after the latest update, the new mayors will be visible. You will also be able to see how many more check-ins you need to become the new mayor.

The rules of mayorship are as follows: Have the most number of check-ins at a locale for the past 30 days. Only 1 check-in per day counts.

Mayorship can be just as much fun as badge collection. Now enjoy your newest reason to check-in to your favorite restaurant.
